Our Behavioural Code of Conduct

At Creative Ground Studio, we are committed to creating a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment for all students, parents/guardians and staff.

Our Code of Conduct is intended to support all who pass through our doors to uphold a culture of kindness and respect. May our Code serve as a reminder to all, that dance is for the enjoyment of our students and that they are loved for themselves, not for their achievements.

Students, parents/guardians and staff will:

  • Display the utmost respect, honesty, and care towards others.

  • Be polite and use manners.

  • Adhere to all ‘Rights and Responsibilities’ as outlined.

  • Strive to communicate and inspire a love of dance.

  • Promote equality, diversity, and creativity.

  • Respect Creative Ground Studio’s property and and its premises.

  • Supervise children at all times in and around the studio.

  • Be responsible for their own personal belongings.

Students, parents/guardians and staff will not:

  • Use offensive/inappropriate/threatening language or behaviours.

  • Engage in any form of harassment or bullying (e.g. racial, sexist, or religious).

  • Distract or interrupt students from learning in the studio.

  • Smoke or consume alcohol or illicit drugs on the premises.

Disciplinary Actions:

A breach of CGS’s Code of Conduct by any member will result in a warning. Further breaches may result in a termination of your child’s membership.

Liability Disclaimer

Dancing is a physically demanding activity that carries the risk of injury. At Creative Ground Studio, while we strive to provide a safe environment, management, staff, and teachers cannot be held liable for any personal injuries or damage to personal property that may occur during dance activities.

Students have the right to decline participation in any activity they feel uncomfortable with. It is important for students to communicate any physical limitations or injuries to their teachers before class or rehearsals so they are aware and can take suitable precautions. If there are any serious doubts about physical capabilities, students are encouraged to seek medical advice before continuing dance. If a teacher is concerned about an injury, they may recommend a student seek a medical professional. Please note that the teachers and staff at Creative Ground Studio are not licensed medical professionals, however are equipped with up to date first aid training to manage minor injuries that may occur during class.

By participating in activities at Creative Ground Studio, participants agree to abide by the studio's policies. Additionally, participants release and indemnify Creative Ground Studio and its teachers from any claims, losses, or suits arising from their participation in dance activities at, or organised by Creative Ground Studio.
